I do not even have to have gel. Smells great too! About 3x a week I just co-clean with Suave Naturals conditioner then utilize the conditioning milk...dry. And not comb it out, but to take specific curls and trim them. So fundamentally, your hair is really a bunch of various lengths, but nobody notices since it's always curly. This method is superb
